Our main aim is to save lives. This is achieved by providing a voluntary lifeguard service at Llantwit Major beach. The club teaches surf lifesaving skills, first aid and surf safety knowledge to its members and encourages surf lifesaving sport as a way of gaining confidence and fitness. The club also aims to promote beach safety in the wider community.
Llantwit Major Surf Life Saving Club is affiliated to SLSA Wales (registered charity no 1048575). The Club is funded entirely from donations, fund raising and membership. If you would like to make a donation or sponsor our activities then please contact us.
Clubhouse and Beach
The clubhouse at Llantwit Major SLSC overlooks the main beach and has one of the most spectacular views along and across the Bristol Channel. As well as housing the club’s emergency equipment, it also provides an office and training facilities for members. In the summer months, it is a meeting place for members and guests. The club facility, together with its grounds and local camping availability, are the setting for many club functions. The spectacular views and surroundings, together with use of the facilities are free of charge to members.
