NARS Training (Lifeguard Qualification)

The NARS (National Aquatic Rescue Standard) or the Beach Safety Award are the minimum awards required for patrolling the beach which can be taken from the age of 16. Every summer, LM SLSC runs free training courses to qualify new members (male or female) or re-new existing qualifications for these Awards. Once you qualify, you will be expected to offer some weekend time to patrol the beach and promote public safety. As a patrolling club member, you will also gain access to the club’s boards and kayaks, and allow, you as a parent to supervise your children on the club craft.
